Chris died on November 25, 2015 from Sarcoma. Three days before he died he was made a Commander of the Royal Victorian Order. This medal was delivered to him at UCH by the Queen’s Private Secretary.

At noon on the day he died Prime Minister David Cameron paid tribute to his ‘Bernard’.

Conway interviewed the Ravenmaster of the Tower of London and JK Rowling. She also reported the story of Pam and Gloria of the Barbican launderette.
