Barak Ravid Walla News
Ravid is a Contributing Middle East Correspondent at Axios, an American news website, based in Tel-Aviv. He covers everything that matters from Cairo to Tehran. He is also a Diplomatic Correspondent
Previously, Ravid worked for Israel’s Channel 13 News as a Diplomatic Correspondent. He joined the network in 2017. However, in July 2020 he was dismissed. He was among nearly 40 people who received dismissal letters from the station.
Ravid gained a reputation for breaking stories about Israel’s relations with the US, the European Union, and other foreign partners. He also had exclusive interviews with Jared Kushner, US President Donald Trump’s top Mideast adviser, and with the foreign minister of Bahrain, an Arab country that does not have diplomatic relations with Israel.
A person familiar with the situation at Channel 13 said Ravid’s dismissal letter cited him for having poor “professional results.” The person spoke on condition of anonymity because they were discussing a personnel matter.
In 2007 he started working as a political pundit for the left-wing Israeli paper Haaretz.
