Nicole started her career producing and editing a 2-hour morning show at KOLN/KGIN 1011 News. Her passion for telling stories and her drive to move up led her to a position in front of the camera as a multimedia journalist covering crime stories in Lincoln. In 2017, Nicole and her husband Chris were anxious to move closer to their families. Nicole started at WRTV in April of 2017 as a reporter for Good Morning Indiana, just in time for all the fun the month of May brings at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway. Subsequently, she was promoted to weekend news anchor in 2019, leading coverage of WRTV News 6 and 11 p.m.
In 2021, Nicole won an Emmy for Best Weekend Newscast. The winning newscast featured coverage of the social justice protests in 2020, following the death of Dreasjon Reed and George Floyd.
In the fall of 2021, Nicole was promoted to co-anchor the weekday evening newscasts alongside Marc Mullins. After the pandemic, with fans by their sides, Nicole and Marc anchored WRTV’s coverage of Breakfast at the Brickyard at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway in 2022. Nicole takes pride in getting out into the community with her camera and sharing the stories of Hoosiers working to make a difference.
During the week, the former gymnast, dancer, and cheerleader loves to attend barre workout classes. On the weekends, she enjoys spending time with Chris and their family who live in the Indianapolis area. She also loves spending time by the pool, cooking on the grill, enjoying live music, or floating on a boat at Raccoon Lake – enjoying the Indiana sunshine.
