In 2012, his multimedia report for The Wall Street Journal on the credit downgrade of the U.S. won a SABEW “Best in Business” award.

Jason began covering business and economics in Singapore, where he worked for Bloomberg TV, reporting on emerging markets throughout SE Asia and India. From 2005 to 2009, Jason was the lead news anchor for CBS News on Logo. From 2000 to 2005, Jason worked as a CNN correspondent. There he covered the wars in Afghanistan, Iraq, and conflicts in Israel and Kashmir. Jason was CNN’s youngest embedded reporter during the Iraq invasion, and the first CNN correspondent to reach Baghdad.

While at CNN, Jason produced and anchored a half-hour show on the second Intifada, which won a gold medal from the New York Festivals. During the 2000 presidential race, Jason was a member of MTV’s Choose or Lose “Street Team”.
