Emma posted the incident on her Twitter account saying: “Today our hearts are heavy as we lay to rest this little girl. Ellsa sadly passed away on 05.02.21. She had an incredible father in Aaron & was known and loved by a great many people in Northern Ireland, I am proud to say I was one of them. You go have fun now princess.”
The six-year-old had suffered from severe epilepsy and other health issues since she was a baby. Several people passed on their condolences, including former Secretary of State Julian Smith and Derry Girls writer Lisa McGee.
Mr. Smith tweeted: “Thinking of you all today – beautiful photographs”.
Ms. McGee wrote: “Oh Emma I am so so sorry. Thinking of you and Aaron. ”
Aaron has another child, Jonah, the elder brother to Ellsa.

Previously, she was a political reporter for BBC between March 2017 and March 2018. Prior to joining BBC, she worked for BBC News for six years as a political reporter, senior reporter and home affairs correspondent.

The sex scene was one of the segments in a video made by Aaron and friends from his team to raise money for NHS Charities Together’s Covid-19 appeal. The finished film was posted on Aaron’s Twitter profile and the club’s Facebook page, with the message: ‘So here it is. Four weeks of lockdown… no football… and this is what happens.’
The video was then edited and reposted, with Emma’s bed scene removed. A BBC spokesperson told Sunday Life: “This was intended to be light-hearted, but Emma accepts it was inappropriate and has removed the clip.”
