She also worked for Channel One news, a current events network for middle and high school students across the nation. As a correspondent, she covered the 2000 presidential campaign and traveled to Central America for the handover of the Panama Canal and to cover humanitarian work. Kris was honored by the National Association of Hispanic Journalists for her feature, “Cesar Chavez, A Legacy of Hope.”
As a journalist, Kris takes pleasure in being a life-long learner. She especially enjoys telling the stories of the diverse Bay Area community.
