Having served for nearly two decades, running international newsrooms he equally managed face-to-face negotiations with the world’s dangerous groups, ranging from the Taliban, banned Middle East militant groups, the government of North Korea, the Chinese Communist Party, and several Middle Eastern dictatorships. Additionally, Paul has headed successful crisis management teams after kidnappings and death threats, being responsible for staff safety and deployments in hostile environments across the globe.
The veteran media personality has been awarded two Emmys; a Peabody and an MBE from Her Majesty the Queen. He has also been invited to give lectures on Foreign policy at places like the LSE, Chatham House, the Middle East Institute, and the U.S. State Department.
