Thuy joined the WTSP team as a Multi-Skilled Journalist in July of 2019. During her career, she’s covered all kinds of stories from testing out the newest heart-racing zip line over Niagara Falls to covering the 2015 Republican National Debate in Simi Valley, CA.
Prior to joining WTSP-TV, Thuy was an anchor and reporter in Bakersfield, CA specializing in politics and law enforcement coverage before spending a little over three years in Buffalo, NY as the station’s morning reporter covering breaking news and fun community events. Some of her most memorable moments in Bakersfield included reporting on wildfires and mudslides and the San Bernardino shooting of 2015. In Buffalo, she made annual trips to preview the region’s scariest haunted house and covered numerous snow storms and dangerously low temperatures.
In her free time, she bakes and decorates custom cakes, binges Netflix shows, looks for new restaurants to try with friends, shops online, visits family and friends in Milwaukee and Buffalo, and looks for new adventures like picturesque hikes and breathtaking kayak views.
