Elleithee married his wife, Tayla Margalit Stein on May 27, 2007 at the Torpedo Factory Art Center in Alexandria. Gov. Tim Kaine of Virginia officiated. Mo is a Muslim while his wife is a Jewish. Tayla is the daughter of Roberta K. Stein, a publicist and Michael R. Stein, a professor of Mathematics at North Western campus. She works as a vice president of development of Students First. Previously she worked with her husband as Sen. Hillary Rodham Clinton’s presidential campaigner.
Their wedding included 150 guests and had a tower of cupcakes instead of a wedding cake; half chocolate, half vanilla and homemade baklava. His mother baked the sweet pastry. The couple went to Costa Rica for a week for their honey moon.
