“We imagined we’d first say “I do” in front of a much larger audience, but we took our vows in front of our immediate families, a few relatives, and friends — and I’m so happy we did.”
“We had a ball with the 20 or so people who were present and it gave our families a chance to really fellowship for the first time. And people who know me know I absolutely love some fellowshipping,” he adds.

Before joining Scripps News, he was a noon anchor at KOMU-TV in Columbia, Missouri. He returned to KOMU 8, where he started as a reporter in January 2012 and had since worked as a main fill-in anchor. He began his journalism career while interning at YES! Weekly, an alternative-weekly newspaper in his hometown Greensboro, NC. During his time at YES! Weekly, Christian wrote cover stories and filed countless features on people and events within the Piedmont-Triad community.
He switched to the TV while earning his Master of Arts in Journalism from the University of Missouri’s prestigious School of Journalism — the oldest journalism school in the world.
