Haas began his career at WENY-TV in Horseheads, New York producing and anchoring their weekend morning show. He then transitioned to Sports Director, where he told the stories of the local athletes in the Twin Tiers for three years. On top of local high school coverage, Haas traveled to Atlanta to cover Super Bowl 53, anchored a live show from Watkins Glen International prior to their yearly NASCAR race, and reported from the U.S. Open of golf, among other highlights.
