Aaron joined KTUU Channel 2 as a Meteorologist, having served the same role at KTVA 11 News – Anchorage between Feb 2019- August 2020.
His choice of career was heavily influenced by his origin, the native land Mississippi, an area of the country that typically sees strong and violent tornadoes. As a result, he always found himself out in the storm taking everything around him from the 1993 Storm of the Century to numerous hurricanes (most recently Katrina), to long-track tornadoes.
Aaron has worked for various organizations such as ABC 17 News in Columbia (Missouri), where he served as a meteorologist for 2 years 11 months, and WTOK-TV in Mississippi State University. Morrison shadowed the Chief Meteorologist and was tasked to build, produce graphics for a webcast and efficiently tell a story about the weather. He also served as an intern at Meridian, Mississippi between May 2012- August 2012.
Based on recurrent weather changes, Aaron says his passion for learning about it continues to grow every day, and his goal is to share that passion with others. He is excited to be in Alaska and cannot wait to explore the adventure that the state presents. When Aaron is not forecasting the weather, he will most definitely be out exploring everything that Alaska has to offer. Morrison says he is in Alaska and has no plans to leave in the near future.
