During her childhood, Karli would track every hurricane in the Atlantic Ocean on her tracking map, in between the afternoon thunderstorms. She was hooked on the weather when she saw a waterspout in the Florida Keys.
Since moving to Kansas City, Karli has been actively involved in Girls on the Run and served as a head coach since 2008. She is also involved in March of Dimes Bikers for Babies and the FOX 4 Love Fund. In November 2007, Karli received her Certified Broadcast Meteorologist seal from the American Meteorological Society.
