Laura Kuenssberg is a British journalist who hosts the BBC’s flagship political interview program, Sunday with Laura Kuenssberg. She replaced Andrew Marr as the host of the BBC’s weekend political interview program, which started airing in September 2022. Kuessberg took over the role of political editor of BBC News in July 2015, succeeding Nick Robinson, and became the first woman to hold the position. After reporting on the 2022 United Kingdom local elections, she stepped down as political editor on 6 May 2022.
Before this, Kuenssberg served as the BBC’s chief political correspondent and was the first business editor of ITV News. She was also the chief correspondent for Newsnight between February 2014 and July 2015.

Kuenssberg has faced online abuse from supporters of various political parties, which led to her receiving protection from a bodyguard during the 2017 general election. However, the BBC refused to comment on the story, and politicians from both the Labour and Conservative parties defended her right to ask difficult questions and be skeptical.
Kuenssberg has received several awards for her work, including Broadcaster of the Year by the Political Studies Association in November 2016 and Journalist of the Year at the British Journalism Awards organized by Press Gazette in December 2016.
