He then joined Trinity College in Hartford, Connecticut where he spent four years graduating in 1991 with a B.A. in history.

After graduating from college, Carlson tried to join the Central Intelligence Agency. However, his application was denied. He then decided to pursue a career in journalism with the encouragement of his father, who advised him that “they’ll take anybody”.

Carlson’s Trinity yearbook describes him as a member of the “Dan White Society”, an apparent reference to the American political assassin who murdered San Francisco Mayor George Moscone and Supervisor Harvey Milk.

Tucker is the eldest son of Lisa McNear (née Lombardi; 1945–2011),and Dick Carlson (1941–). His mother Lisa was an artist from San Francisco and his father Dick is a former “gonzo reporter” who became the director of Voice of America, president of the Corporation for Public Broadcasting, and the U.S. ambassador to Seychelles, and more recently a director at the lobbying firm Policy Impact Strategic Communications.

Tucker has a brother. His brother, Buckley Peck Carlson, later Buckley Swanson Peck Carlson, is nearly two years younger and has worked as a communications manager and a Republican Party political operative.

Tucker’s paternal grandparents were Richard Boynton and Dorothy Anderson. They were teenagers when they placed his father at The Home for Little Wanderer’s orphanage, where he was fostered by Carl Moberger of Malden, near Boston, a tannery worker of Swedish descent, and his wife Florence Moberger. At the age of two, Dick, Tucker’s father was adopted by upper-middle-class New Englanders, the Carlsons, an executive at the Winslow Brothers & Smith Tannery of Norwood (the oldest tannery in America) and his wife.

Tucker’s maternal great-great-great-grandfather was Henry Miller, the “Cattle King”. His maternal great-great-grandfather Cesar Lombardi immigrated to New York from Switzerland in 1860. Tucker Carlson Parents Divorce

In 1976, Tucker’s parents (Lisa McNear and Dick Carlson) divorced after their nine-year marriage “turned sour”. His father was granted custody of him and his brother, Buckley Swanson Peck Carlson. Tucker’s mother left the family after the divorce and moved to France when Tucker was six. The boys never saw her again.

While in first grade, the family of three, the father and his two sons moved to the La Jolla neighborhood of San Diego, California. While there, Tucker attended La Jolla Country Day School and grew up in a home overlooking the La Jolla Beach and Tennis Club. His father owned property in Nevada, Vermont, Maine, and Nova Scotia islands. In 1984, his father unsuccessfully challenged the incumbent Republican Party Mayor Roger Hedgecock in the San Diego mayoral race.

In 1979, Tucker’s father married Patricia Caroline Swanson, an heiress to Swanson Enterprises, daughter of Gilbert Carl Swanson and niece of Senator J. William Fulbright. Even though Patricia remained a beneficiary of the family fortune, the Swansons had sold the brand to the Campbell Soup Company in 1955 and did not own it by the time of their marriage. This was the third marriage for Swanson, who legally adopted Tucker and his brother.

Tucker is married to Susan Andrews. The couple got married on August 10, 1991, in the school chapel. They met at St. George’s School and began dating. Susan was the headmaster’s daughter. They have four children, and Carlson is left-handed and dyslexic.

Tucker Carlson TCN

TCN stands for Tucker Carlson Network, a new streaming platform that features exclusive new content from Tucker Carlson. Carlson regularly releases new video content on TCN, covering important stories from around the world.

TCN was founded because news coverage in the West has become a tool of repression and control. Reporters no longer reveal essential information to the public; instead, they work to hide it. Journalists act as censors on behalf of entrenched power, showing contempt for the public and the truth.

These reasons prevent democracy from functioning properly in such a society. Voters can’t know what they’re voting for, and people understand they’re being manipulated and resent it. This leads to a population that is angry and paranoid, causing things to fall apart.

The only solution to a propaganda spiral like the one we’re living through is to tell the truth about the things that matter — clearly and without fear. That’s the mission of TCN, and they are committed to doing it every day, no matter what.
