Recently, Steve was run down by a woman while doing a hidden-camera interview at her South Side home. Witnesses say Terresa Peters drove her vehicle over Steve in the rear of Peters’s apartment at 48 W, Neff Avenue shortly after 6:30 p.m.
According to ABC6/FOX28, police have confirmed that Terresa turned herself in to authorities.
Following the incident, Steve was reported to be in stable condition at Grant Medical Center, according to police and the station.
“ABC 6 Reporter Steve is being treated at Grant Medical Center. His leg is broken in three places, but thankfully he’s expected to be okay,” said a posting on the station’s website.
An arrest warrant was filed for Terresa, 27, on a charge of felonious assault.
