In July 2021, her mother passed on at her residence on 81st Ave. in Oakland, California. Her son Sam told TMZ that Lons relapsed and overdosed on Sunday (her birthday) at her home in Oakland, California.
She became a breakout star on her daughter’s 2006 BET show “Keyshia Cole: The Way It Is.” She also gained more popularity from the 2009 BET reality show “Frankei & Neff,” which chronicled the lives of her and eldest daughter Neffeteria.
Lons had checked herself into a rehab centre and was doing well until her untimely demise.

Pugh is the elder sister of Keyshia Cole, an American songwriter and singer. Her sister, Keyshia was born in 1981 and they share the same father Ellis Vic Randolph.
She also has a younger sister, Elite Noel and a brother Sean Cole.
