“Basically we’ve been training for the past 16 weeks. So I’m training in Kentucky, I’m training in Oklahoma, I’m training in Illinois, and I’m training in Tennessee,” said Kelly and her sisters. “We ran virtually together.”
“Crossing the finish line. Yeah I’m just excited too, I ran the Chicago marathon two years ago so I’m excited to experience it with my sisters, I mean just the energy, the people, the crowd, it is just an awesome place to be and just to get to experience that with them and experience it for 26 miles, I’m looking forward to that,” Kelly added.
“All four sisters were selected to run. It is a lottery registration, so you register and they draw your name if you get chosen and all four of us got picked which was really cool,” Kelly said.
“They are even wearing shirts with the states they trained in.”
Kelly finished in 4 hours and 15 minutes. She has also run eight half marathons.
