O’Keefe graduated from Bethlehem Central High School in 2001. He then joined American University and graduated in 2005 with a Bachelor’s degree in Political Science. He also recorded an album of piano music during his senior year in high school. O’Keefe played piano starting at age 3 at The Music Studio in Albany.
